Team Management Systems, Inc. Holds Annual Users Exchange

Fort Myers — Team Management System’s Annual Users Meeting was held at the beautiful Sundial Resort on Sanibel Island, FL, February 5–7. TMS develops and implements leading edge, industry specific software for HVAC/R, Mechanical and Plumbing Contractors, both commercial and residential. Each year there is an increase in the number of contractors interested in the exchange of ideas, training and roundtable discussion groups.

The focus of the meeting this year was on “Teamwork: The essential element in business today.” Earl King and Stan Halbert were the guest speakers.

 

 

Earl King, King Productions and founder of United Service Alliance, is well known throughout the commercial HVAC/R market for his outstanding expertise. Mr. King showed contractors how to calculate commercial maintenance agreements utilizing the Service Agreement Calculation software module.

Stan Halbert, Halbert & Katz & Company, consults and advises contractors in all aspects of accounting, tax matters and overall business operations. Halbert & Katz, CPAs, have provided services to the industry for over 30 years. Most recently, Stan has represented a number of HVAC contractors in the negotiations to sell their businesses to consolidators. Yvonne Tuttle and Stan Halbert made a special presentation at the proactive Owner’s Exchange.

 

The seminars and hands-on workshops consisted of classes covering:
  • Streamlining Your Service Department for Profit
  • Advanced Service with Refrigerant Tracking
  • Beginning and Advanced Job Cost Implementation
  • Labor Management and Job Tracking
  • Dynamic Sales Quotation Calculations for Marketing
  • Service Agreement Calculator for Commercial Agreements
  • Understanding your Management Reports

Special emphasis was placed on growing your contracting business profitably. Classes ran concurrently addressing accounting, job cost and service management with scheduling and dispatch. Contractor response was excellent.

All of Team Management’s training is geared toward implementation and successful use of the management reporting and time saving features. Chuck and his highly qualified programming staff are developing programs that are ODBC compliant, client server networkable, and have full interfacing capabilities to most third-party software.
